The story behind We All Ride Together was a rather interesting one that came out of the clear, blue sky.  Buffalo Media Group was approached by our friends at Western Pleasure Guest Ranch to do a statement piece for their ranch with the script provided and we just dub in the b-roll over scrolling text and add some music….done!  It turned out to be a very nice, short piece and I applaud them for taking the creative initiative to make a positive response.  This was three weeks ago.

From there, we were approached by Resolute Marketing to see if we could do something like that for them and how much would something like that cost, they asked.  We said, you write the script and we will take care of the rest.  A couple days past and then the script arrived…we were blown away!  The script was so beautifully written.  Again, we were asked to provide an invoice.

Next thing we know, we were contacted by The Dude Ranchers’ Association out of Cody, Wyoming to provide a statement video for the western hospitality industry.  Of course we said, let me see what we can do.  Soon after, we were approached by Resolute Marketing and told them we had a project and if they wouldn’t mind, we would love for them to write a script for the The Dude Ranchers’ Association that’s similar to theirs and we’ll call it even.  Luckily for us, they obliged!

We submitted our bid to the The Dude Ranchers’ Association which was approved and then it was quickly onto the pre-production and production stages.  This was last Friday.  We got the green light and we spent the majority of the weekend putting together b-roll from a lot of our clients through the years.  The script was so powerful, we knew we needed a professional voiceover to carry the video.

Reverse, two months.  Justin Gambino of Justin Gambino Music, whom we met at Wind River Ranch this past summer, had recently visited us in Minnesota to film a new song for his album.  Much to my surprise, it was going to be the title track to his next album and a major influence into his musical endeavors.  We were asked how much something like this would cost and of course my answer was to just get to Minnesota and I would take care of the rest….don’t worry about a thing.

Six weeks later, he’s here in Minnesota and we hit the road to northern Minnesota for a full-day of production.  It could not have gone any better quite honestly.  The video was a major success and was completed just a couple days before we completed We All Ride Together.  So when it came time to get a voiceover, we could only think how awesome it would be to have Justin Gambino do the voiceover for it.  Soooo….we called in a favor to him.  We told him the scoop and asked if he could graciously donate the voiceover and like the true gentlemen he is, he did!

So now here we are with a potentially huge project on our hands all the sudden.  We mentioned to the Dude Ranchers’ Association that if we were going to undertake this project, that we were going to do it right.  So the footage was coming along great and the music selections were being made and we were communicating the script to the Dude Ranchers’ Association.

I went to bed Sunday evening with overwhelming anxiousness.  I had been thinking about a title to the video for a couple days and nothing had revealed itself yet.  I was awoken at 3:30 am to the voices in my head.  It was the repetitious chant of…We all ride together, We ALL Ride Together, WE ALL RIDE TOGETHER.

That was the hook and it hit me like a lighting bolt! Simple and clean.

The Dude Ranchers’ Association loved the concept and the rest is history. The video was completed in one week.

We want to thank the Dude Ranchers’ Association for placing their trust in us.  We would like to thank our guest ranch clients, past and present, without you all this would have not come to fruition the way it did.  We would like to especially thank all the ranches for getting on board with us, embracing the concept, and sending us all the video clips.  We want to also specifically thank Amy Janzen at Resolute Marketing for the amazing talent she is with everything she does.  If you are looking for an extremely talented and gifted marketing specialist for your guest ranch marketing, she’s the real deal….trust me!  Justin Gambino, friendo, it has been a wild ride with you this year and we look forward to the next adventure.  Thanks so much for your generous time and sharing your amazing talents with us and the world.  Of course I want to thank the Lord for blessing me with such wonderful people in my life and a sincere passion for what I do.  I feel the fire burning inside me everyday and I am thankful.  I want to thank my family for supporting my ambitions and trusting my insane ideas even thought they might not fully understand where I am going with them…but I do ha!  But mostly, I am thankful for my best friend, my wife Chrissy for her continued love and support and for always believing in me and letting me know how proud she is to be married to me.  I hope I do the same for you!
