Fire | Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Photography
/ Justin GraddyThis past late February Buffalo Media Group took some time away from the frozen north of Minnesota to seek out a new National Park that we have been wanting to explore for some time. So we traveled to the Big Island of Hawaii to visit Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. We try and take time out once a year to sharpen our skills and feel rejuvenated by being out in nature. This trip was amazing and certainly one we will never forget. Although the lava hasn’t been outwardly flowing since the 2018 eruption, we were able to capture quite a bit of activity. Nothing like being right on top of an active volcano. We also found out that much of the longer stretches of the park have been closed due to COVID-19 but we made the most of hiking the many trails that surround the summit. The Big Island was simply amazing and can’t wait to go back when the lava lake fills and we can get some of those epic bursting magma shots! Until next time!
