Epic | Lutsen Resort Video Production
/This week Buffalo Media Group made our way up to Lutsen Resort to cover video production of Lutsen Resort Waterfall Tour. Lutsen Resort has acquired an old Yellowstone tour bus which they now use for guided ski and waterfall tours.
We made our way from Minneapolis which was exactly a five hour drive to Lutsen Resort. Now the first two and half hours are pretty boring but once you come around the bend and drive down into downtown Duluth, your frame of mind instantly changes for you are at the doorstep of everything amazing the north shore of Minnesota and the banks of Lake Superior have to offer. Driving north on 61, you pass through many amazing small towns and the sights are everywhere!
We checked in the evening of Monday and proceeded to The Strand, Lutsen Resort’s signature restaurant located within the main lodge. The Stand is a modern masterpiece of interior design and restaurant functionality.
Now combine that with a 5-star culinary explosion of a menu…well things do not get much better. We took in some Oysters Rockefeller and some Wild Mushroom Brulee with crostini paired with a house pinot grigio. Needleass to say, it was a feast for the senses.
Tuesday morning we headed out for the waterfalls. The bus picks guests up right from the main lodge and heads to either Pigeon Falls at Grand Portage State Park or to a few other closer waterfalls such as the one’s at Temperance River State Park and Cascade River State Park. After taking in some good hikes, the group broke for a catered lunch of charcuterie plates prepared by the amazing chefs. This trip is very much worth the time and effort…very much so. Aside from the excursions, take in an amazing dinner and take a walk down to the beach for the ever popular beach bonfires!
