/This past early March Buffalo Media Group journeyed up to Lake Kabetogama in the heart of Voyageurs National Park to capture the aurora borealis for Voyageurs Conservancy. We were camped out right on Lake Kabetogama facing due north as to not miss a chance. The first two nights were socked in by clouds and finally by the third night a cold front moved in and pushed out all the clouds to reveal the pristine night skies. Voyageurs National Park is a designated Dark Sky National Park and it certainly lives up to that. We pushed ourselves extremely hard to fight through cold, exhaustion and constant draining batteries to finally have the opportunity to fully capture the northern lights.
