This past summer Buffalo Media Group headed up to Kabetogama Lake to cover some summer family and fishing activity and to also help tell the story of the rebuilding process after some huge spring flooding. Many of the resorts on the lake suffered extreme flooding and much lost client traffic and revenue toward the beginning of the season. For those who put in diligent efforts to get operational were finding success in their bookings. Although most dock systems were under water, guests were still able to enjoy the lake. We also were there to show that business was as usual on Kab and that it wasn’t too late to book a trip for the summer. Freeze | Top Minnesota Resort Video Production

This past week Buffalo Media Group headed up to Lake Mille Lacs to cover video production and photography for Lake Mille Lacs Tourism. We had excellent weather with some amazing ice crystals on the trees in the mornings. We covered a lot of ground making the lap around the lake a few times to cover all the small towns and resort communities that surround this enormous inland lake. Last week was capped off with the completion of our drone video of Stout’s Island Lodge. Buffalo Media Group headed over to Birchwood, Wisconsin is just the right time to catch the falling leaves and fall foliage at its peak. What an awesome experience and shoot this was for us!

This past week Buffalo Media Group was asked by none other than W.A. Frost to cover some footage of their back patio while the weather was still decent and the fall colors were still going strong. Luckily for us, there was perfect weather and plenty of people out and enjoying the patio. We are so thrilled to be working with some of the finest establishments in Minnesota and abroad!

As of recent, Buffalo Media Group has been granted a unique and most extraordinary task of helping tell the story of the Kelsey Family out in Yellowstone country in the mid-60’s through the eyes of Howard Kelsey himself. Howard Kelsey was the original owner and founder of Nine Quarter Circle Ranch in Gallatin Gateway, Montana. We have been awarded this most magnificent responsibility to help edit lost footage that many have never been seen and in most circumstances, is the first time any of this footage has seen the light of day. It was upon our request that the Kelsey Family dig the footage out of the family archives and have them reproduced into digital format. It is with great respect to the Kelsey Family that we are entrusted in a manner to help tell this amazing story of life in Montana and Wyoming. All footage was captured by the Kelsey Family using 16mm cameras and film.

Buffalo Media Group has spent years shooting a lot of guest ranches and it has allowed for us to cover a ton of ground across the American West. We were able to pull footage from many of them to make a promo video for The Dude Rancher’s Association. We have been members of The Dude Rancher’s Association for years and continue to work with so many great guest ranches and the owners. We look forward to the next great adventure out west!

This year has been a super busy one for us here at Buffalo Media Group and in the midst of all the chaos we still have salmon and trout fishing fresh on our minds from last year still. Maybe it’s because we have been on a salmon run in northern Michigan and now have our eyes set on a northern Wisconsin steelhead and coho run. Of course, many of those experiences from our shoot with Alaska Rainbow Lodge were shared around the campfire at camp. We wanted to take a good look at some stock footage we covered and see if there’s any new material we can find and use. It’s a good thing I always overshoot because we were able to put together a completely new two-minute piece. This documentation is just from the shoot in late July. We of course have tons of material from our September shoot as well. We hope you all enjoy!
